Privacy Policy
off does not collect personal information. Your locked-app list and history stay on your iPhone.
1. What we collect
Nothing. off has no accounts, sign-in, servers, ads or analytics. mooha never sees or receives which apps you lock, when you go off, or how you use your phone.
2. What is stored on your device
The following is stored only on your device. The extension that runs schedules and the widget extension read the same on-device store.
- Your registered block's unique ID (the NFC tag UID)
- Modes — name, symbol, the apps, categories and websites to lock, and the web rule (whether all websites are blocked, whether the default allow list is included, and the allowed sites you typed)
- Schedules — days, times, and which mode
- off history — start and end times, mode name, and how it ended
- Settings — app-deletion blocking, new-app-install blocking, icon switching, appearance and accent color
- Remaining emergency unlocks — stored in the device Keychain. By design they can’t be restored, so they remain even if you delete and reinstall the app. They do not transfer to another device.
3. Screen Time (Family Controls)
off locks apps with Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity). Information from these APIs is used only to lock and unlock apps. It is never used for any other purpose or shared with anyone — not for advertising, ad measurement or analytics, and never with data brokers. Apple hands the app only opaque tokens for the apps you choose; mooha cannot even see their names.
4. NFC
NFC is used only to recognize your block. The app reads a tag only when you open the reading screen to register a block or to start or end off, reads nothing but the tag's unique ID, and writes nothing. That ID is stored only on your device.
5. Contact email
If you email us from the app, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete them once the conversation is finished.
6. Deleting your data
Remove the block in Settings ▸ Remove block; delete modes and schedules from their own screens. Settings ▸ Delete All Records deletes your off history. Deleting the app removes everything except the remaining emergency unlocks (which stay in the Keychain, as in section 2). If 'Block app deletion while off' is on, tap the block to end off before deleting the app.
7. Children
off collects no personal information from anyone, including children. off is for managing your own device; it is not designed to manage anyone else's.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
