Terms of Use

Thank you for using off. We kept this short.

1. These terms

These terms apply to off, the app made by mooha (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where they differ, these terms prevail.

2. License

mooha grants you the right to use the App personally on devices you own or control. The App is for managing your own device for your own focus and productivity. You may not use it to manage another adult’s device or on behalf of an organization such as a company or school, and you may not modify and redistribute, reverse engineer or sell the App.

3. The block

The App is used with a “block” that contains an NFC tag. Blocks are sold separately from the App, and their purchase, shipping and refunds follow the seller’s terms. You may also register an off-the-shelf NFC tag as a block; mooha does not warrant the quality or behavior of such tags.

4. Locking and unlocking

The App locks the apps and websites you choose using iOS Screen Time. A lock ends when you tap your registered block again, use an emergency unlock, or turn off the App’s Screen Time access in your device settings. Emergency unlocks are limited in number; once they are used up, you need the block to unlock. Any inconvenience from losing the block or changing device settings is yours to bear. The App works within the limits iOS allows, so depending on iOS limits or your device settings a lock may be late or may not apply. Please do not rely on the App’s lock alone for anything important.

5. Your records

Your off history and settings are yours. They are stored only on your device; mooha does not keep or back them up. If you lose your device or delete the App, they cannot be recovered.

6. Purchases and refunds

Any paid purchases inside the App are handled through the App Store under Apple’s policies, including refunds. Physical goods such as the block are bought outside the App from the seller and follow that seller’s terms.

7. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is.” mooha builds and maintains it with care but does not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, mooha is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the App.

8. Changes

If these terms change, we will post them on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
